LTF (Learning To Fly) Ventures is UChicago’s undergraduate venture capital fund. Since 2017, we’ve backed the earliest founders on campus with non-equity grants.

Since 2017, LTF has run on an annually refreshing $10,000 donation from a single alumnus. In 2024 we reached our budget for the first time, and in January 2025 we announced Fund 1, our first external funding initiative.

We talk to about 50 founders a year. About half make it from the coffee chat to the board pitch, and we fund about 10 companies. In 2024 our investments raised over $3 million in seed funding.
